The "Rök-stone" is the most famous among the more than 2,500 Swedish rune stones. He is 3.82 m tall and contains over 800 runic characters. He has the longest runic inscription in the world that has ever been found.
The masters of runeinsciptions masterfully knew how to encrypt their message on the stone so that kennings (images) to accumulate to practice letter and number games and introduce secret runes.
Therefore, until now, only small fragments of the inscription has been deciphered. There seems to be an allusion to the 8th century to now-lost epic poems and legends.
The inscription means in the original:
"-Då rådde Tjodrik den djärve, Sjökrigarnas hövding över Reidhavets strand. Nu sitter han rustad på sin gotiska häst med sköld över axeln, den främste av märingar."
The English equivalent is:
At the time Tjodrik the brave, Cheieftain of the warriors at sea, ruled the shore of the sea of Reid. Now he is on horseback armed, on his gotic horse, with shield on his shoulder, the most important of märingar.
On the back is of 20 kings of the "Sealand" or 20 "Seekings" the speech and of a battlefield on which they lie. And we learn from a woman who sacrificed herself for the kinsman of ingvald sex.
Mass of the model: 10 x 7 x 3 cm
The model consists of artificial stone. This is so made that he has much resemblance to granite. The runic inscriptions are deepened and faithfully colored.
